Many people believe that masturbation is a religious no-no. If you are in that group, then just don’t masturbate. There is nothing wrong with following your own beliefs. Hopefully, you won’t ever find someone masturbating, so you will not have to lecture them on the bad qualities of the act. Plus, you probably never want to see that anyway. Just be sure that you are not hypocritical and masturbate in private when you think no one is watching you.
Safe Sex
When we get older, one of the benefits is sexual freedom while still being careful. If you really think about it, masturbation is one of the safest sexual activities, because it is not easy to give yourself a sexually transmitted disease. However, if you are going to use an item of some sort to help move the process along, be sure that the item is clean and sanitized, especially if you are using the item in or around your happy places. Also, be sure where you are masturbating is clean, too. And…if the dog is around, you might want to move to another room.
If It Interferes with Life, See a Counselor
We only get to live one life and it is nice to spend it doing something that you enjoy. But, just because masturbation feels so good, you should not let it interfere with your day to day activities. You can masturbate at any age, but you do not want to do it at work or while you are driving. It is also a good idea to not masturbate when you are eating dinner with the family or when you are at a restaurant. If you feel like you just cannot get enough, you should make an appointment to talk to a counselor, especially one that specializes in sex addiction.
As humans, we are blessed that we can enjoy sex and that we do not have to use it just for making babies. If you like to masturbate, then do not be ashamed. But do know that you should not share that information with anyone other than your spouse. Enjoy your life!
